Dulles, VA – September 8, 2011 – Technica Corporation, a leader in Systems Engineering, Software Development, Information Assurance and Product Solutions for the Federal Government, announced today that it won a significant new task order in support of the FBI IT Supplies and Support Services (FBI IT Triple S) contract. The IT Engineering Division (ITED) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Engineering task order will provide the FBI with critical operational test and evaluation capabilities directly from technology vendors, through a flexible workforce of vendor-direct technology experts.

The work will be performed for the ITED, Infrastructure Engineering Section, Storage Engineering Unit at FBI Headquarters. The FBI awarded FBI IT Triple S Task Order (STOR) #8 for ITED SME Engineering Support under the FBI IT Triple S master contract basic ordering agreement (BOA). The task order, with an awarded value of $47 million, has a five-year period of performance if all contract option years are exercised. This is the second services award for Technica under the $30 billion FBI IT Triple S BOA.

This task order will allow Technica to provide a range of technical SMEs who will serve as in-house technology resources for the agency performing technology integration and testing for the entire FBI enterprise. In staffing this assignment, Technica will work with many established IT leaders such as Polycom, Verizon, Dell, VMware, Sun/Oracle, Citrix, and EMC.
