Objectives

The objective of this BPA is to establish a mechanism for providing contractor expertise to Department of Justice (DOJ) programs in order to meet priorities, increase competition resulting in cost savings, increase business with small business concerns and to increase project and program success.

Scope

This BPA provides products and services to assist the DOJ with analyzing the performance of ongoing programs and projects. This support helps ensure programs and projects are performing optimally in regards to cost, schedule, and performance parameters. Personnel supporting the agreement may be expected to support meetings, draft and review documents, correspond with government agents and other contractors, and provide other related services in performance of the task. Services available on this BPA include, but are not limited to, the following:

Supplies and Related Services

This vehicle provides technically acceptable supplies and products that meet or exceed DOJ requirements. It will also provide recommendations for evolving technologies and products that increase cost savings, have improved performance and ensure mission success.

Hardware and Software Related Services

The vehicle also provides hardware and software and related services such as configuration, integration, and installation in a timely and cost effective manner to ensure adherence to schedules and mission priorities. Contractors evaluate DOJ programs and projects to determine hardware and software needs and provide advice and recommendations on evolving technology and products.

Operations and Maintenance

Contractors will provide the government with maintenance and support services for a multitude of systems or specific systems for maintaining and improvement of operations. Contractors shall consider and recommend alternatives and processes that result in operational improvements, streamlined procedures and cost savings to the government. Also, contractors evaluate opportunities that could be exploited to the Government's benefit to include recommendations as well as changes or improvements in industry common practices.

Technical Development

The agreement provides support in multiple areas with technically skilled staff that maintain industry certifications, proper training, appropriate skill sets and experience and are willing to work in support of the "badgeless" philosophy. Contractors will develop and/or assist the Government in the generation of technologies and systems based on Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) solutions with customizations where required. Contractors have the ability to quickly provide any number of SMEs to support customer requirements.

Other

IT supplies and support contractors may also be required to perform studies, conduct briefings, and administer testing of program deliverables. In addition, IT supplies and support contractors develop template documents, develop and implement process improvements, manage inventories, coordinate between vendor personnel and the Contracting Officer on behalf of the Program Manager, and review vendor status reports.
