Mentor Protégé Program

Technica participates in the Small Business Administration (SBA) Mentor Protégé program by mentoring Onyx Consulting, LLC, an 8(a) company located in Hanover, Maryland. The Mentor Protégé Agreement between Technica and Onyx is approved by the SBA.

The Mentor Protégé program encourages the growth of small business concerns by partnering them with established larger businesses to provide guidance in the development of technical and business capabilities. Technica graduated from the SBA 8(a) Business Development program in 2007 and we use the experience gained from our successful growth as a business to further Onyx’s goals as its business matures.

Onyx Consulting Services, LLC

Onyx is a woman-owned 8(a) small business IT consulting firm that provides services in the core areas of software development, systems engineering, and business process management. Onyx-Technica JV

Onyx-Technica JV is a Mentor Protégé Joint Venture (JV) based on a Small Business Administration (SBA)-approved Mentor Protégé Agreement between Onyx Consulting Services LLC (the Protégé) and Technica Corporation (the Mentor). Onyx-Technica JV has assembled a team made up of both large and small businesses that, when combined, have over 110 years of experience providing IT solutions to the Federal Government.
